Lately the Lord has been leading me to teach on this subject: His people are reading the scripture but are reading over it; the Word has not been effectively used near as much as it could be.
The power of the Word is not coming forth and we as His children are not walking in or receiving all that can be because of this. We read scripture and feel justified that we have done our duty but are missing so much. An example would be the verse in Col. 1:27.... "Christ in you the hope of glory.” That is an extremely powerful statement and when digested or understood to the fullest will do great things in our lives. We never hear who Christ fully is or understand the meaning of the word "hope", and when we do this, we lose the power of the Word.
Christ is the Greek word for anointed. Jesus is the man who was anointed of the Father; the Messiah who was to restore all things, and then we realize that God is a God of reconciliation, and Jesus was the Anointed one, the Messiah, the Restorer, the One who was going to bring this reconciliation.
The word "hope" in our culture is a wishful thinking mentality, maybe expectation. But the biblical word means a sure thing, an earnest expectation. So sure that in some instances it is spoken about in past tenses as if already completed. Really, as far as God is concerned what He has put forth is already done and is finished. We cannot quit in our obedience to His Word.
When we read the same scripture ... “Christ (the Messiah, the Restorer, the Sacrifice, the Salvation, the Reconciliation of us and the world) in you, the hope (the earnest sure full wonderful expectation of His Glory) of Glory (God's wonderful radiance and power)”, we see the intent of what God is doing in us. I think that is so powerful and wonderful that it will free us to become what He sees in us.
In 2 Cor. 5:19 it says ...”and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation”. You see we have this responsibility to walk in the character of God and other will follow us to Him.
God bless in your pursuit of Him.

Dear Partners in Christ:
I trust this letter finds you well and blessed. It has been a long time since I sent out a letter to our partners, and I apologize for that, but now I feel the urgency of the Holy Spirit and of the times to bring to your attention a message I preached the first of this year. In it are several points the Lord gave to me for the year 2011 to guide us and bring us victory in Jesus.
This is an outline view but if you will prayfully consider what is presented, I believe the Lord will reveal to you what He wants you to receive from this message.
From my sermon dated January 1st, 2011, I gave the following scriptures to reference to the message. Luke 12:4, don’t fear man or the things of the world, remember you are not in the world; When He comes back it will not be for a whiny, wimpy church but a church and body that is full of power, Ephesians 5:26 –a Glorious Church.
Please look at the following points for 2011:
As I was praying and preparing this message, He showed me further words to emphasize and convey to you:
The times and the things we see happening tells us it will never be like it used to be. We have to have a relationship with our Lord, a personal and intimate relationship that causes us to trust Him to the fullest and to look like Him more and more. Only then will we start to change the world around us, only then will we become salty.

Dear Partners in Christ,
I trust you had a great holiday season. It’s been a couple of weeks now into 2011. For one, I am glad 2010 is over. It seems we had a lot of trials and stresses last year, but God has brought us through them, and we are into a new year with all of its potential.
In praying about the new year, I believe the Lord spoke to me and said some things that are key to being “over-comers” in this new year. First and foremost was "Don't get in fear.” We have faith and must check our faith level. We must learn to trust our leading of the Holy Spirit and using the Sword given to us, the Word of God.
It is going to be an exciting year in the service of our Lord. We have a promise of success and I quote in part in Romans 8:31...if God be for us, who can be against us...; who shall separate us from the Love of Christ...; we are more than conquers...; for I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, not things present nor things to come, nor height nor death, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I want to encourage you to enter into the Praise of our Lord in advance for our Victory in Him; with this we see His plan for us and will do the great ministry of reconciliation.
God bless and we invite you to "come and see" what God is doing at Victory Christian Center.

Dear Lovers of Jesus Christ,
I praise the Lord for being there for me when I came back to Him in 1992. Having personal peace with the God of the Universe is indescribable. When I was called to minister His Word and later build a church, He showed me to have a church the way I wanted to be in church and that is a place where I feel at home and received. I have been in a lot of churches and I am sorry to say I did not feel that way in many of them.
Whatever the reason I did not feel at home, and sometimes it was my problem, at Victory Christen Center all are welcome. Sometimes we laughingly refer to VCC as a church for misfits. You are welcome at our church to get and have a true relationship with Jesus Christ and the God of the Universe and with other believers like you.
To be restored to God is the “ultimate high”. As Jesus told the people, "Come and see". We are looking forward to seeing you at the next service.
God bless.
